The Lake District is regularly voted as the most dog friendly location in the UK. We more than agree!

We know how difficult it can be finding a hotel offering a luxurious experience and be able to bring your dog, well Applegarth Villa is the pawfect retreat!

Well behaved dogs are welcome in a selected number of suites especially suitable for bringing your faithful friend. These suites are on the ground floor and have their own entrances to enable you to take your dog for walks.

We have 3 dog friendly suites available:
Ultimate Luxury Room 1 which offers a spa bath, lounge with a full wall of bi-folding doors opening onto a relaxing sun terrace.
Two of our luxury hot tub suites, Harrop and Potter. Each suite has its own private entrance, terrace AND hot tub.

For just £25 per dog per night (maximum 2 dogs per suite), we also provide water bowls, treats and a guide to dog friendly walks, many of which are right from your suite. All we ask is we must be notified at the time of booking that your faithful friend will be coming. Please note that dog owners are responsible for any charges incurred following the unfortunate circumstance of any damage sustained or industrial cleaning required.

Although we are unable to allow dogs in our restaurant or lounge bar, we are more than happy to offer breakfast between 8-8.30am or dinner between 5.30-6-30pm served to your suite. You are welcome to leave your dog in your suite whilst you come to dine if you know they will be content. In the summer months we have a beautiful terrace where you can dine with your dog or alternatively there are some dog friendly pubs within easy walking distance of Applegarth Villa in the heart of Windermere Village.
