Our Head Chef, John Kelly has a wealth of experience and knowledge gained from all over the world and has been featured many times in magazines and periodicals and has a passion for food. With everything being made on site special dietary requirements can easily be catered for.

Being a family run business, Applegarth Villa knows the value of supporting family businesses. Wherever possible we buy fresh and local produce.
All of our meats come fresh from Cumbrian Fellbred, part of the Udales family business in Milnthorpe.
Our free range duck and chicken eggs are supplied by F.W Park, a family business based at Bannerigg only ¼ Mile away.
Our game and smoked products are supplied by Cartmel Valley Game and Smoke House based in Cartmel. John uses his knowledge of being an ex game keeper to know his game!
All our fish come from My Fish based on the shore of Fleetwood. Gary started his business in 2015 and has progressed to being one of the prime fish suppliers in the North West.
Our delicious breads and sourdoughs are supplied by the award winning More? Artisan bakery based in Mill Yard, Staveley.
The wonderful cheese selection is brought to you by the Procter family. Based in the North West Ribble Valley, they have been supplying local businesses since 1935.
Our delicious coffee and teas are supplied by Farrers of Kendal. With over 100 years of coffee know how, they certainly know their roasts.
For our gelato and sorbet we use Kimi’s Artisan Gelato. Jonathan and Heather churn their gelato daily in their purpose built parlour, in the idyllic village of Staveley. Their passion for quality shines in their ever changing flavours of their gelato and sorbets.
For pretty much everything else we use McClures. Based just 100 yards away from Applegarth and founded in 1945 by Bill McClure, it is now run by his Son and 2 Grandsons.
In consideration of our many guests who join us to escape family and business pressures, we are unable to welcome children into the bar or restaurant.
